Obtained from petroleum. Melting point >37 degrees Celsius. It is not soluble in water but soluble in hot alcohol.

Uses

Can be used in concentrations of 5-20%. Use as is and add to fatty phase of mixtures.

Benefits

Has good moisturising and lubricant characteristics. Good for dry skin and prevents diaper rash.
