Description
BHT is butylated hydroxy-toluene. It has a melting point of 70°C. It is insoluble in water and partly soluble in ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and oils.

Can be used in concentrations of 0.01-0.1% and should be added to the fat phase It is best used in combination with EDTA.
