Candelila Wax

It is derived from the leaves of the small Candelilla shrub native to northern Mexico. It is soluble in oil but not water and it has a melting point of 69-73 degrees Celsius.

Lipsticks, Lip balms, Creams, protective ointments.

Uses

Add to the fat portion of formula when emulsification is required and melt before use. Can be used as a substitute for Bees wax.

Benefits

Provides moisture, increases the thickness of a non gel formula. It is a good emollient and gives a gloss effect to lip balms.
