Carnauba Wax

Carnauba Wax s a wax of the leaves of the palm Copernicia prunifera native to Brazil. It is soluble in alcohol but not water and has a melting point of 80-85 degrees C.

Uses

Add to the fat portion of formula when emulsification is required and melt before use.

Benefits

Provides moisture, increases the thickness of a non gel formula and improves the consistency and stability due to its high melt point. Provides good skin protection.
